Customer Service Training TIps

Learn the Local Language

Navigating Foreign Accents in Business

Whether it’s fair or not, customers judge you by your ability to speak the local language clearly. Having a foreign accent is fine; even endearing – providing that it’s not so strong that locals can’t understand you. If people often ask you to repeat yourself, then you have a problem that is likely hindering your professional success. Do yourself and your company a favour and take language lessons until you are easily understandable. That way customers won’t have to work so hard to buy from you.

Today’s chuckle:

If at first, you do succeed, try not to look surprised.
