Group Presentations – Eye Contact

A common misconception when presenting ideas to groups is that you should scan the audience with eye contact. As a professional speaker for over 15 years, I’ve discovered that this ‘scanning’ technique actually makes the audience feel less receptive. You’ll create more trust and intimacy by making eye contact with one person at a time – delivering that sentence or phrase to that individual. Then speak “one-on-one” to another person in a different part of the room. It’s a simple technique to “Influence with Ease ®.”
